Diandra Simões Is the New CEO of the Chana Group

From Director of Strategic Planning to the highest position in the organization, Diandra Vaal Neto Simões has been the new CEO of the Chana Group since October 25, replacing Paulo Vaal Neto.

Diandra’s arrival at the top position of the company is part of the family succession plan that began in 2021 and, since then, has been part of the Group’s long-term strategy.

With a new strategic plan, called Chana Nova Era, presented during the meeting of the Chana Group’s Board of Directors, the new CEO mentioned the Group’s new mission, which is to offer sustainable mobility solutions, with support for new technologies, aiming at a more accessible future for all.

In the words of the new CEO, Diandra Vaal Neto Simões, “As a family-owned company in the mobility sector, we understand the importance of ensuring business continuity and stability, regardless of changes in leadership.

The succession plan was developed to ensure that the transition of generations in the company was made seamlessly, preserving the values and legacy we have built over the years. We are pleased to reach this milestone and look forward to setting an example for other Angolan family businesses.”

The eldest daughter of the founder of the Chana Group, Paulo Vaal Neto, whom she succeeds, Diandra Vaal Neto Simões served as Executive Director and Director of the Strategic Planning Department of the Chana Group.

Founded in 1992, the Chana Group develops the activity of marketing and repairing multi-brand cars, new and used, in Angola, and Chana SA currently has two business units: Chana Automóveis and Chana Rent A Car, and the official representation of two international brands: BMW Luanda and Hertz Angola.
